But a bifacial module installed over snow or a white roof, hit by cloud-edge enhancement, can push 1.6–1.9 × its STC short-circuit current through the diode. Using a reproducible estimate, we map two boundaries — forward junction temperature and thermal-runaway critical temperature — and propose a four-step method for thermal derating under real operating conditions.
